Meet the
Professionals:
Frank Lucco, SRA, CRP
Mr. Lucco is the President of the appraisal, brokerage, and consulting firm of Frank J.
Lucco & Associates, Inc. He has a Bachelors degree from the University of Houston and
has been appraising for over twenty years. Mr. Lucco specializes in residential
appraising, brokerage, and investing. He holds the designations of SRA (Residential
Member) with the Appraisal
Institute and CRP (Certified Relocation Professional) with the Employee Relocation
Council. Mr. Lucco has received his Texas State Certification as a General Real Estate
Appraiser. He also is a fee appraiser for the Veterans Administration and the U. S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development. Mr. Lucco is actively involved with the
Houston Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, serving as Treasurer, on the Board of
Directors in recent years, past chairman of the Education Committee, and is Vice President
elect for the year 1999. For several years, he served as a Regional Representative for the
Appraisal Institute. Mr. Lucco is also one of ten members of the Residential Council for
the Appraisal Institute, on the national level, which meets twice a year to discuss issues
involving the residential appraiser. He has been honored by the Appraisal Institute with
numerous citations including, the Presidents Award, Board of
Directors Award, and Key Man Award. Mr. Lucco has authored articles
published in the trade journals, "Appraisal Review and Mortgage Underwriting
Journal", The Appraisal Journal, Regional Real Estate Review,
and "Texas Realtor". He has also appeared on radio and television shows
discussing appraising, the housing market, and local economy. Mr. Lucco has served as an
expert witness in court litigation on several occasions and has spoken at national
appraisal conferences in both the US and Canada. He is an approved instructor for several
Appraisal Institute courses and seminars which include, Appraisal Principles (110),
Appraisal Procedures (120), Residential Case Studies (210), Appraisal Office Management,
Understanding Limited Appraisals, Affordable Housing, and Complex Residential Properties.
Joseph H. Lucco, CRS,
GRI
After ten years as a real estate appraiser, Joe now heads our brokerage division. Mr.
Lucco is a native Houstonian and very active in the local community. He graduated in 1985
from the University of Houston with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.
Additional real estate education has been in such areas as law, contracts, real estate
math, finance, property tax, and appraising, to name a few. He holds the CRS (Certified
Residential Specialist) and the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designations from the
National Association of Realtors organization.
David Gribble,
Associate Appraiser
Mr. Gribble holds both a Bachelors and a Masters degree from the University of South
Carolina. He has been with the firm since 1986 as an associate appraiser. Additional real
estate education has been in such areas as law, USPAP, real estate math, finance, Fair
Housing, and appraising, to name a few. He has also taught residential appraisal courses
at North Harris Montgomery County Community College for the last several years.
Joe Jett, MAI
Mr. Jett is a native Houstonian and has a Bachelors in Business Administration degree from
the University of Houston with a major in Finance and Economics. He has had experience as
a commercial mortgage loan officer, served as Vice-President of a commercial loan
department, manager of the appraisal division of a national commercial brokerage firm,
andover the last 35 years, has appraised numerous commercial properties. Additional real
estate education has been in such areas as law, USPAP, real estate math, finance, and
appraising, to name a few. On several occasions he has been an instructor on the H.P. 38C
and H.P. 12 C financial calculators.
C. Aaron Dees,
Associate Appraiser
Mr. Dees received his Bachelors degree from the University of Texas. He initially spent
four years as a real estate salesman in Austin, Texas before entering the appraisal
profession in 1989. Additional real estate education has been in such areas as law, USPAP,
real estate math, finance, property management, property and liability risk planning, and
appraising, to name a few.
